With the use of energy efficient LED lighting from Airis Energy UK, Chiltern Rail’s CO2 output across its 36 stations has been reduced by over 600,000kg.
LED lighting in their workshop and elsewhere helps precision engineers and manufacturers achieve 79% energy savings.

Opened on October 17, 1919 by King Alfonso XIII, with a total of 301 stations, it is currently the largest metro network in Spain and the third in Europe, with a length of 294 kilometres.
Within the second phase of the Metro de Madrid Energy Efficiency
Plan, AIRIS products were chosen for the replacement of lighting by LED technology of 115 stations and 4 depots.
GMP is one of the largest property- owning groups in Spain. In this case study we analyse the light replacement of one of their office buildings. We exchanged 4 fluorescent tubes with our state of the art Smart LED panels.
The solution proposed to GMP is based on the replacement of the uorescent luminaires by led panels as well as a redistribution of the light points to increase e ciency, reducing the number of luminaires according to the UNE 12464 Workplace Lighting.
After conducting the study of light and taking into account the client’s requirements, AIRIS decided to replace all the luminaries. Traditional track lights were replaced by LED track lights which produced less heat, saving AC costs.
Conventional tubes were inefficient, light coming out from them is diffused, whereas LED tubes have an ULOR of 0%, projecting all the light downwards, having minimal losses of light around the lamp. Each group of two 5 ft tubes was substituted by a LED T-bar which has a at design that gave the stores a less crowded look.
Systeme U had 58W uorescent T8 tubes with old Ferro ballast. These were replaced by 36W LED Tubes with internal power source.
This saved 49% of the lighting consumption of the traditional lights. 4,016 traditional T8 tubes were replaced with 3,300 T8 LED tubes, manufactured by AIRIS.
Airis and System U have an ongoing relationship, replacing a new warehouse every 6 months.
After conducting the study of light and taking into account the clients requirements, Airis decided replace all the luminaries.
Sanset indoor paddle tennis court lighting was based on 400W metal halide high bays which were inefficient. Additionally, traditional high bays produced extra heat which is inconvenient in a paddle tennis court where people are exercising. The traditional lighting was replaced by Airis LED 180W High Bays. Airis Manufactures their LED lights therefore reduces the cost.
