Dorset school learning environment improved by LED lighting upgrade

Brighter, energy efficient LED lighting from Airis Energy UK offers pupils and staff an improved learning environment, whilst saving 27,002.20 kWh of electricity annually.

Moordown St John’s is a Church of England Primary School in Bournemouth in Dorset that believes that all pupils, staff, parents and governors are part of a community of learning, where standards and expectations are high and there is a real purpose in being part of the family of Christ.

In 2021, they contracted Airis to examine and improve upon their lighting infrastructure. To improve both the quality of light available and the ongoing costs of it in an age of rising energy prices.

With large rooms that can’t always be lit naturally even when the sun is out, including classrooms, halls, libaries and gyms, schools require significant lighting all year round.

This represents a drain on the school’s budget, but with energy efficient LED lighting, consumption can be reduced by 70% or more.
